I had severe excema as a toddler and young child. So did my son and now my grandson has a very severe case of it. When I was a child, there was a very effective product called MAZON that came in dark blue bottle. It was a light cream, a soft tan in color. There was also a soap and a shampoo. It was coal tar based and cleared up my excema very well. I cannot remember the name of the manufactuor, but would like to see if it is still offered someplace in the world. Any other suggestions would be welcome.
