My 2-yr old daughter has a severe case of excema. She has had it since she was born. She has never had clear skin. I have taken her to four different doctors. No one has been able to help her. I have had other mothers at daycare say they don't want their kids around her because they are afraid it is contagious. I have had people ask me if I let her get into something or if she has been burned. My own mother-in-law called child protective services on me because she said I wasn't taking care of her skin. One doctor did do a blood test on her to see if she was allergic to foods, it came back negative, but he said she was to young for allergy test to be accurate. She has been on every steriod cream available for her age and nothing seems to help. She has been on a new medication that is not a steriod called Protopic for about two months now and it doesn't seem to be helping either. I don't know what else to do. I can't bare to think my daughter will have to grow up with this awful skin problem. It looks awful. She scratches until she bleeds. And I just don't want her to be made fun of also. Please help.
