You are not alone. I feel like a pioneer. My Gyn., Family Physician, 3 Dermotologists, and an allergist,as well as the pharmacy thought I was in left field when I questioned whether or not the Prempro would be causing my hair loss. This went on for months until I became frantic and call my gyn and told her I wanted to just stop the Prempro and see what happen. I saw symptoms go away just as they began to manifest.. This included swollen lymph nodes as base of skull, skin dry and itchy and broken out from the neck down. Dry somewhat itchy scalp with clumps of hair loss and subseqent bald spots, muscle weakness and fatique and headache. It has been 3 years and my hair has not grown back and 4 dermotologists seem to agree it will not. It seems to look like scarring alopecia or pseudopelade de brocq. I wasn\'t familiar with this condition and I believe the Prempro prompted it but I think it usually happens when you have lesions on your scalp. I did not have scabs or lesions but at times the scalp lended to a burning sensation. The damage is quite extensive and it is traumatic but as much as we know our esteem and quality of life and maybe more health issues have suffered, many women have lost their lives due to noninformed doctors and pharmacies. I know I reported symtoms immediately to everyone, including contacting the pharmacutical company--just looking for some answers and any help possible. It wasn\'t there. It is an enexplainable ordeal to go through and then find no support and most of all no one to take responsibility. I hope more come forward and answers become available.
