Had my Marina fitted 4 weeks ago. Already experiencing weight gain and bloating of the stomach. Today woke with gnawing pain in right side which developed into severe pelvic and back pain (a bit like early labour pains). I am due to have a check up in a few weeks and I WILL be having it removed! I am 47 years old and had it fitted because of spotting and bleeding throughout the month. I am still bleeding every day and in addition now have these side effects. If you are not happy with this coil don\'t let any doctor tell you that you MUST persevere. It\'s YOUR body demand that it is removed if that is what you want!
