Hi, briefly this is my story.
Last year, around October, I went to work, 8.40am sitting at my desk I suddenly felt strange. I lost my vision, felt dizzy, not faint, very ill, ambulance was called vital signs checked, all ok. Went to doctor, she put it down to a funny turn! for the next 6 weeks I was a walking wrek - felt dizzy, couldnt see straight, felt shakey inside, went back to doctor, nothing wrong, blood tests, nothing wrong. After xmas another almost colapse, joint pains, felt flu-ish, put it down to cold. Moved house, moving to spain, 2 weeks before woke up in night severe palpitations, went to doctor, said it was stress. 2 weeks later, one day before moving to Spain, felt so so ill went to surgery and insisted on seeing doctor, she said anxiety. Went to Spain, spent the journey on my back, felt so ill wanted to come home, too ill to come home. Stayed. Symptoms eased, some days, felt fantastic, some days didnt feel so good, some days felt bad and then all of a sudden felt ok, couldnt understand it at all. 3 weeks later, ill again, blood pressure so high admitted to hospital, no cause found. 3 weeks later, felt ill again, admitted to hospital blood pressure dangerously high, no cause found. 3 weeks later, collapsed, admitted to hospital dangerously high blood pressure - all this time feeling terrible, like shaking inside, nausea, disturbed vision, palpitations, flu-ish, joint pains, but no specific pain or obvious illness, then suddenly my partner said, there\'s a little pattern here, you have said that you are having periods with this new coil and you didnt with the last one and they are at the same time as you are really really ill, when did you have your coil fitted? When did you first collapse - guess what I had the coil- Mirena fitted 7 days before I collapsed! Is there a connection? I dont know. However, I had the coil removed on returning from spain to UK on a Monday and 7.5 days later - on the following Tuesday 3.40 pm - and yes I can be that specific - I suddenly felt a change - the inside shaking had gone, my vision was more stable, cautiously I have carried on, this is my 5th day since having it removed and - fingers crossed, touch wood and all that, the very bad symptoms are not present at the moment. I will leave the conclusion to you, but this is my story and if anyone else has had a similar experience I would dearly like to know. Also, no doctor would listen to me, firstly in Spain and then in the UK, they all said there was absolutely no connection and that it was not possible!
