mirena coil -
Posted by alison on 06/10/04 at 01:02 PMi have had mirena coil fitted for nearly 5 yrs and i can honestly say that i have noticed a steady weight gain from an unhealthy 7stone to 9stone. i had mirena coil fitted due to heavy periods and found it hard to put on weight after a very bad sickness.i am now a healthy weight for my height. the down side of the mirena is constant vaginal infections, headaches, joint pains, dry skin, hair loss and depression altho my doctor has denied that mirena is the cause. i am due to have it taken out oct 2004 and will not b having it replaced. i am not looking forward to the return of periods but i feel my body needs a clear out as nature intended it each month.
