Posted by Lakiya on 06/29/04 at 07:39 AMI recently had mirena inserted a week ago. Before I heard of mirena I was using the ortho evra patches. The only problem I had with those is that every time I took the patch off and put a new one on, the outline from the old patch remained on my body. Still months later you can see the outline of the patches on my body. Now I\'ve had mirena for only a week and already gained 4 lbs. and have not stopped bleeding, nor got control of the odor. My advice for anyone thinking about getting mirena, find another contraceptive. I\'m having mirena removed ASAP. Good luck to all mirena users, new and old.
