not to many people or doctors have heard of this, but if you get blood clots in your legs, arms, lungs, you should get tested for factor v leiden. its genetric, passed down from your mother or father, or both. can be fatal if left untreated. i have factor v leiden, and only about 5% of the people have it, can\'t take birth control pills or hormones. there is a test for this, its only been out a few years, and my doctor discovered i had it just 5 yrs ago, after i had a series of bloods clots in both legs, arm, and lung..there\'s also a web-site, that can be very helpful, its www.factor v leiden.com
