I\'m in the same boat as many of you. I had a period after only 9 months without. She did a very painful SIS test - saw something in there - and is now wanting to do a d&c. I too have read that it\'s obsolete - endometrial biopsy - and a hysteroscopy should be able to do the same things. I\'m waiting for her to call me now -- so I can ask these questions. I have a problem with doctors that make patients fearful. although, much of what i\'ve been able to find - does indicate that bleeding after menopause CAN BE a sign of cancer - and it\'s worth it to get checked out - they just seem to act like they expect the worst. I\'ll try to find my way back here - and post what I\'ve found out from my process.
