Posted by Steve on 07/25/02 at 10:59 AM67 y.o. male, on Effexor for 6-8 months. Have gained maybe 20-30 lbs with same eating habits. Apart from that, it works very well for me. I\'ve always been mildly depressed without knowing it. But now I feel pretty good most of the time, better than before. So it\'s a difficult choice, to continue or not. Also I think my cholesterol level is way up because of the drug.
