10 years ago, I started on tetracycline for acne. After a month on the drug, I started getting headaches, followed by double vision. My general practitioner diagnosed migranes, backed up by visit to a neurologist the next week. Tunnel vision started soon after, followed by almost complete blindness. I also felt very tired and could not wake up easily. My sister took me back to the Neurologist, who finally figured it out. This was after cat scans and mri\'s. A trip to the emergency room for a spinal tap confirmed her diagnosis. I started on diamox and steroids and around a month later got my eyesight back. I needed a couple more spinal taps to relieve the pressure before the medication took over. PTC is very rare, and is commonly found in overweight, acne prone women of child bearing age. I occasionally get pressure headaches, but that is the extent of any lasting side-effects.
