I have suffered with pseudo tumor cerebri since December of 2000. I went to the eye doctor to have a regular eye exam and he told me that I had to go to the hospital to have a ct scan cause my eyes were covered in blood. I went to have the ct scan done that night and the next day I had a lumbar puncture done and was told that I had Pseudo Tumor Cerebri. In the past 1 1/2 years I have had 5 lumbar punctures. I am currently taking diamox, topamax, glucophage, and amitryptiline. I had a mri done just a few weeks ago and they found out from the mri that the pressure in my head from the fluid has crushed my pituitary gland. I am now having to go see an endocrinoligist to have a bunch of tests done to see if there is anything else worng. I have been told that if I loose weight that it might help me. I have tried numerous diets but nothing has worked for me. If anybody has any suggestions could you please email me and let me know. I would also like to know what other symptoms others are having, what others are doing to help with the headaches. I just need some help. Thanks.
