I am a 30 yr old female. I have headaches all my life. Dr. when I was younger would tell my father I was faking. About 10 years ago I started seeing little white or black spots. I would lose all vision for a nanosecond. I thought it was my weight. I am overweight. Then I went to have eyes checked. I thought I needed glasses. She told me it was a brain tumor. Then sent me to ophthamologist. He said brain tumor. Neurologist said brain tumor. Until finally they found after mri and several spinal taps that it was Psuedo tumor cerebri. They treated me with Diamox and it went away. Then three years ago. It came back. I am in a different part of the country now. Much better dr around here. They treated it aggressively with diamox and weekly spinal taps. It got worse. The dr and I agreed a shunt would help. It did help. It is in my spine and drains aroun the side into my abdomen. I still have visual problems and headaches. I am hoping it\'s not back. Could these symptoms just be with me forever?
