i started having my headaches after a bout with the flu, and my dr told me it was all in my head. ater 2 months, my eyes started acting funny so my dr sent me to an optomolist. who told me i might have brain cancer. my MRI was normal, so we did a spinal, we found i had ptc, in 10 days i went almost completely blind. i was refered to dr spoore out of Warren, mi who designed a surgery called Optic Nerve Sheath Decompresion. i had 3 done with no luck finally after 7 months of being blind and surgerys and spinal taps (they herniated my brain) i had my shunt placed. 8 days later my vision started to return and i was back to work in 7 weeks after being off 9 months. i still have head aches but not nearly as bad and my vision is 20/25. i am now 2 yrs post op and still going strong. feel free to email me with any new info or if you just want to talk.
