Re: pseudo-tumor cerebri

My daughter suffered from headaches a couple of years ago. It wasn\'t until she complained of \"severe\" headaches and an inability to see when she turned her head to the right that I took her to a doctor who immediately referred us to a neurologist.

The neurologist prescribed a series of spinal taps. It was explained to me that my daughter\'s brain \"thought\" there was a tumor and began protecting itself by forming fluid surrounding the brain. It was because of this fluid that caused pressure on her optic nerve. After approximately 7 spinal taps the pressure and headaches stopped.

However, unfortunately now I\'m seeing some decision making problems in my daughter. That\'s the reason why I\'m on this website trying to find out what the long-term effects of this \'disease\' are.

I hope this information can be of some help to you and I wish you the best in your endeavor and I also wish you good health.

Margaret
