Hello. I am 28 and in perfect health other than the pseudo. I am not overweight at all, I workout and stay in good shape. I was misdiagnosed for many months because I did not fit the profile. I tried taps, diamox, and neither worked. I was symptomatic again within a week after taps. We finally sttled on an LP shunt. I had surgery in Nov. and I feel great. I know shunts can have their problems, but it has really helped me I am a new person. It took 3 taps to diagnose me. A tap is truley the best way to be sure. You may want to ask them to use a \"sprockett needle\" because it reduces the chance of a spinal leak and headache. Good luck.
