I have just been diagnosed with Pseudo Tumor Cerebri. Mine came from headaches that resulted in affecting my vision. I went to see an eye doctor and it was then he thought I might have this. He got a second opinion with a confirmation and then I was sent to a Neurologist, who confirmed as well that this may very well be my problem. My mri is tomorrow which will be to make sure it isnt anything worse. As far as they have explained, PTC has an effect to show up in young women who are over-weight. It isnt a tumor, it was just named that from the old times because it took on forms of effects as a tumor would. What they will be doing to me if the mri shows up clear is a spinal tap. and I will be placed on a certain medication. They say using the medication correctly and about 2 spinal taps, within 2-3 months, all should be fine. I dont know what their suggestions would be if you have high blood pressure. I suggest speaking with a Neurologist. Good Luck.
