PTC w/no symptoms !
Posted by Rhonda on 05/29/03 at 08:28 PMI went to have my regular eye exam, found the optic nerve under pressure, went to Opthamologist for pictures and then to a Neurologist. I had a Lumbar Puncture. My pressure was 29 when it should be 10-29, fluid was drained, MRI was normal, blood tests normal. My dr. says that if I loose weight it might cure the situation I only weigh 177. I was prescribed Topomax for the weight loss and havent started taking them yet but start tonight. I have another LP scheduled in 3 weeks. Never have headaches or any symptoms, has anyone else been diagnosed without showing any symptoms? email me at rhonda_parson@yahoo.com please.. or if you have taken the Topomax let me know if it helped the weight loss.. thanks
