I am 27 years old and about 100 pounds over weight and was finally diagnosed with this after almost two weeks of testing and lots and lots of pain but I was very persistent and prayed alot for doctors with wisdom and when I finally was admitted into the hospital within 5 minutes of telling the doctor my symptoms he knew this is what I had and they did the proper testing to check it out and got me on meds. I am still in a lot of pain and was diagnosed on 11-21-04. I have not worked since 11-16-04, I am a single parent and it is real hard. But I know some how some way I will make it through this and I am considering the shunt surgery because I am still not able to go back to my regular life being on the meds. I hope and pray you have gotten help for your daughter and I am not sure where you are but KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS has some good doctors who know about this and you could check into it further if you needed to.
