Sorry to hear about your sister. I was diagnosed just over 6 months ago with PTC. From what I understand from my neurologist, CSF levels, cerebral spinal fluid levels being too high is what causes the eyesight difficulties as well as the pressure headaches. I , so far, have been blessed with the absence of the really bad headaches thus far. I am on Diamox 1000 mg daily and pressure was still too high last spinal tap, so Dr. is adding Lasix. This is a medication that helps your body get rid of excess fluid. (water) I am a heavy 35 yr old weighing 250 at 5 feet tall!! Yet I eat very small portions and I am generally not hungry. Excercise is hard when so many medications make you have side effects. It\'s hard enough to get through my part time job and try to spend quality time with my family. Good luck finding information for your sister and you she sure is lucky to have a sister like you who cares enough to help her understand this condition.
