anemia, hair Loss, scalp problem, Heavy long painful periods

I had the Paraguard in 2005-2007. I loved not worrying about B-control, but my scalp was itchy and either too oily or too dry. My hair was falling out, but I thought it was due to the my scalp problem. I always had heavy long periods, but with the IUD I had 10 day long super heavy periods which caused me to become anemic. Symptoms of anemia can consist of bruising easily, tiredness, dizziness etc. You should talk to your doc about taking Iron supps daily, and Ibprofin during your period to reduce bleeding. I just had my second child 5.5 months ago and I am debating on whether or not to get it again. I liked that it was not hormonal, but who knows what the copper does>
