Hi there. I’ve had excema since I was a little kid and I have a few suggestions, so maybe something will help.

First, if you’ve only used creams, you should try at least one ointment. I am allergic to the preservatives in creams, so they weren’t really helping – but the ointment didn’t cause the same reaction.

Second – there is a brand- new non-steroid cream. I tried Elidel, which contains pimecrolimus. It didn’t actually seem to help me (maybe because it is only in cream form) but you should ask your doctor at least to try it.

Finally- you probably do all this anyway, but avoid wool, scented clothing detergent, clothing softeners, dryer sheets, scented shampoos, soaps etc., and try to keep cool and dry. I wish you luck! I know how it feels!
