Claire you sound like me—My doctors gave me everything under the sun, and nothing helped. I stumbled on something quiet by accident—I won’t go into it here, but it seems that Gluten acts as a trigger to the Excema. As long as I stay Gluten (no wheat, rye, barley, malt, etc) free my rashes heal and no itching. First introduction of Gluten—starts the breakout all over again. Have you ever heard the term dermatitis herpetiformis, seems it is related to Celiac disease. It isn’t an easy diet to stay on, but the market for Gluten free products is growing so it is getting easier to locate food sources without gluten in them that you don’t have to make from scratch. I do a lot of my own cooking now, using alternative flours, spices, etc. Let me know if you want more info.

Best of luck—Marie
