Valerie, I feel your pain! I have lived with excema my whole life. It never gets better, it just travels to new areas of my body. Right now I can hardly type, because my hands are so cracked, bleeding and sore. I can’t wear rings, or even put on nailpolish, since my nails don’t even grow in right anymore. They grow in with holes, rigdges and cracks from the excema. I don’t even have fingerprints anymore, my skin has peeled off so many times. My arms are all scarred and itchy.I have tried every prescription they have and it just keeps coming back. The sad thing for me, is that I have passed on the “excema gene”” to my little 20 month old. He has it from head to toe and suffers and cries from the itching. I am sick of people asking “”whats wrong with his skin?”” Hopefully he will outgrow it, or maybe they will invent something that works in the future. Hang in there everyone!
