The best information would be to contact the NDs around where you want to settle and ask them. (Use this site or www.naturopathic.org)

The income and stories are going to vary dramatically from downtown NY or CT and backwoods ME. Contacting the local NDs gives you information in context and starts you networking with future colleagues.
