I also have hereditary panreatitus i havent had a portion on mine reomoved but i did have my galblatter removed at the age of 8 i am 16 years old around the age of 14 i develope ance and they put me on metocyclen and i havent had an attact since i used to have attacts about 10 times a yeah and i really think the metocyclen withc is an antibiotic help calm the attacts down i am 16 now and doin fine they also have me on Pancrease mt or whatever but i never take it i know i should please e-mail me back
