It’s unfortunate that you had a negative experience with an ND I’m a student at Bastyr and am very pleased with the teaching. Bastyr has not lost its accreditation. In fact this year it its accreditation was renewed. ND’s are like any othter people in any other profession: some are good at what they do and some are not. Many are specialize in some areas of medicine such as Women’s Health, Pediatrics or Endocrinology. You can find an ND in your area by going to the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians website (http://www. I suggest you interview any prospective doctor as though you are their employer (which you are) and they are your prospective employee (which they are). You may be able to rule out many doctors by simply asking them if they have worked with any patients with your complaints/condition. If so, how many? If their answers satisfy them you might want to try them out, if not, move on to the next one.

Best of luck, and feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions at [email protected].
