Please make note: pulling apart capsules is dangerous and not helpful to tapering off. Each tiny pill is not the same. This is why the medicine is not in pill form. Each tiny pill activates at a different time, allowing it to be time released. Tapering off this way can cause you a great deal of discomfort. You actually need to get perscriptions for the smaller and smaller doses to taper off.
I know this because I did it and suffered and was advised by my pharmacist friend of this issue.
Not to say that tapering off isn’t painful, it is no matter how you do it. However, my withdrawal symptoms were milder when using prescribed smaller doses. Capsule splitting is not effective and potentially harmful. I did it too, because like you I was desparate to get this poison out of my system as quickly as possible.
My truest best wishes are with each person here dealing with this.
Sincerely,
Brenda Georgiadis
