I have been on Effexor for years. In 1997 it lessened my mental faculties to such a degree I lost my job, business etc. Had a melt down. I did not know Effexor was behind this decline. I went to the VA after being off of Effexor for three weeks because I could no longer afford the medication. The VA saw the condition I was in, diagnosed me as depressed and put me on Effexor.

Withdrawal hell all over again. I am now weaning myself off with the head zaps, tinnitis and vertigo again.
