Effexor killed my husband – Naturopathic Medicine Network

On Friday May 12, 2006 my husband took his own life in our bedroom. He was 29 years old and I am a widow at 26. He shot himself in the head with a .45 calibur glazer bullet next to our bed. He had been put on effexor xr 75mg in mid April for aniexty. He became depressed, violent, obsessive and spontaneous. He went back to the family doctor on on May 8th 2006 and the nurse practitioner told him the dose was too low and doubled it to 150mgs. He became worse by ten fold and became suicidal. He shot himself out of the blue while shortly befroe midnight on that Friday the 12th. I am not joining this lawsuit but am filing one of my own against the makers of effexor and the doctor. I want to warn everyone that may stumble upon this that is taking or has a loved one taking this horrible medication to get off as soon as possible. There are many cases of this happening and I want to try to save someone else the pain that my husband went through and that myself and out 5 year old son is going through. I found my husband and will forever have nightmares and can no longer live in our house. WE have lost everything because none of our insurance policies cover suicide. I hope the people that make affexor burn in hell for the pain they cause people, for the pain they caused my family. PLease hear me and save someone or yourself from this pain. I bury my husband this Friday, please don;t let this medicine bury someone else.
