It is good to hear that you are progressing nicely. It is common for P.T. to take six months to a year to get you to full range of motion. During that time, you will notice that it really hurts to perform all those range of motion exercises. There is another alternative which can dramatically speed your recovery. It is called MUA, short for Manipulation Under Anesthesia. I perform this procedure on my patients that have this condition with great success. Usually, they will obtain full or almost full range of motion within one week and will continue through a 6 to 8 week rehab program to insure that the gains are permanent. That’s it! They tell me this procedure gives them their life back.
