I am sorry to read of your mother’s illness. My mother (63) has been ill with TA for about 1 year.
I feel that my mom is very similar to yours (strong, independant, and wering down). She has not regained her previous strength and has increasing other problems. She says that she does not seem to be getting better and is becoming depressed about it.
She has asked me to locate support groups, forums and individuals other than doctors with whom she can communicate with personnally. I think that hearing from others who are going through the same thing she is will help her emotionally.
