I’ve had the Mirena since May 2006. My doctor informed me of all side effects and encouraged me to research. I had to get mine inserted in outpatient surgery so I didn’t feel anything. After I was very sleepy and I had no cramping. So far the only side effect is nausea. Which made me believe I was pregnant when I wasn’t. That started this year. So I feel blessed to not have a horror story. But every one is different and each body reacts to Mirena differently. So be blessed and do your research!
