My understanding is that we don’t look for foods high in HA. Our bodies manufacture HA using basic carbohydrates. We’re not getting these basic carbs from our diets and/or are assaulting them with too high levels of consumption of glutens, nightshades, and other high lectin foods. The carbs in question are produced by fruits and vegetables in the last days of ripening and therefore are not at the supermarket! These sugars are similar to glucosamine which has proven to help joint lubrication by the same mechanism (HA production). See the page – http://abcnews.go.com/onair/2020/PRIMETIME_japanyouth_001102_feature.html for insight into the starchy vegetables a particular Japanese village grows as a food source for these carbohydrates. These foods are NOT sources of HA, but sopport it’s production in our bodies. I know of another source of these sugars in supplement form if anyone wants to reply to my E-mail address.
