Dear ltd,

Eat more food? Sorry, I couldn’t resist. It depends on how much weight you want to gain.

Weight gain-fat, is incredibly easy for most people to gain. Cease all activity and eat only high fat foods. That is fast, and relatively safe (in the short term) but not healthy.

Healthy weight gain is more difficult. If the issue is needing five or ten pounds to make some minimum weight, hydrating fully for several days to saturate the body, and getting weighed after a full buffet meal and with a full bladder may be sufficient.

If a greater amount of weight gain is needed, weight lifting (short, maximum loads that wear on the muscles, forcing them to repair)will put on muscle weight. It isn’t necessary to maximize the protein drinks, etc., but they also tend to be an easy way to take in too many calories.

If you are already doing all of the above and weight is not happening for you, realize that your metabolism may be too high. This can be a problem, and can be slowed. It may also be that food is not being absorbed, but your doctor or local licensed naturopathic doctor can discuss that with you.

I hope this is helpful.
