Blunt or piercing trauma can cause it, as can any structural abnormality in the pancreatic duct, which may have been nicked during your gallbladder surgery. I assume you have no hereditary history, which leaves recent infection, calcium or parathyroid imbalance, and hypotension (low blood pressure). Anything sound plausible?
