You are all right because Naturopathic Medicine is a wide open field. It is largely made up of private practices so an ND could make 20,000 or 200,000 or more depending on Naturopathic and business skills. Because this field is growing so fast, there are lots of salaried jobs beginning to come about. It’s not the field for someone who isn’t willing to bet on the future trends but I believe Naturopathic Medicine is the future and a good ND will be able to make as much as an MD. Some MD’s don’t make that much with all their high insurance premiums. Insurance is much lower for ?ND’s. If you want a secure salaried position in medicine go into Nursing or a PA program or maybe MD, DO but if you believe in Naturopathic Medicine go for it. Don’t worry there will be tons of opportunites in 4 years. a lot of the jobs you can create yourself. Lots of hospitals, clinics, MD offices are becoming more open minded to hiring NDs. Nd’s are the most well rounded and best trained professionals in natural health. Hope this helps.
