My Grandmother died of Bright’s Disease. In the 1800’s and early 1900 many kidney disorders/infections were grouped under this name. The small vessels of the kidneys are affected and therefore cannot filter the urine properly. Go to Yahoo.com and search for Bright’s Disease. Nephritis is a more common term today. There’s some interesting work done on the cemeteries listing cause of death.
