Hi,

I also suffer with Manic depression, diagnosed about 20 years ago. I’m now 35 and I wish there was a better way of getting better than with medication. I also have suffered with this since I was a child, as my father did, and his father did, and his mother did. I currently take wellbutrin and effexor XR(which is the perfect combination for me) and it only took me 28 years to find the right meds and doses. The problem is, I’ve gained so much weight its sickening! (side effect). Don’t get me wrong… I need my medication or I become very sick.. and I know it! My kids know when I’ve accidently missed pills and I feel bad about it. The thing is… is there an alternative to drug therapy that won’t have withdrawel effects and keep me stable? If there is, please let me know. Thanks.
