The zinc tally test is a test where a person gets a few drops of zinc in liquid on his tongue. If the person can taste the zinc, he supposedly has enough. Everyone else is supposedly deficient. Men tend to need more zinc, and if you take zinc you need a little copper because the zinc tends to deplete the copper. Zinc is involved with several immune regulating processes. I just read a study that an increased calcium intake can actually lead to zinc deficiency, but I’m not clear on the mechanism.
