Thank you for your remarks. I am 30 years old and looking into attending SCNM in AZ within the next two years. I want to be part of a professional, well educated, respected, scientific community that helps people with illness and raises awareness about living well. From what I am hearing, this is not the view of the naturopathic community. How generalized are your observations? Do you think it is possible to create ones own ethical practice environment without being muddied by the ones out there selling salvation and snake oil? My goals are to be of service to the infirmed and to educated on health and wellbeing; however, I do realize that I must make a living. What direction is the field headed? Is profitability raising only contingent upon supplement sales and IV treatments? How does the MD / DO community view ND’s? Is there a good amount of referal going on, or are ND looked down upon as to inconsistent? As in, “there may be some good ones out there, but I wouldn’t risk it.”” My questions and comments may be all over the place, but I have to admit that I am too in trying to pin down the direction of the field and the direction I choose to follow. Any input is greatly appreciated.
