You know, I would agree with you, but I would have to say the same about allopaths as well. If everyone would do all of the “stuff”” you describe in Vegetarian Times, then M.D.’s would have far fewer patients as well. An accredited N.D. program is expensive, because we look at the investment vs the return once the doctor hangs out his shield. The revenues are limited because folk’s incomes are not unlimited. If N.D.’s could readily bill Medicare and insurance, “”expensive”” would not be a major consideration for the education or the services. Many people who have a choice, not restrained by concerns about costs, would see an N.D. first for most ailments. And it will be the people who will convince Medicare and insurance to pay N.D.’s for their much-needed services.
