GreyDawn,

Your post was almost spot on with my experiences seeing naturopaths. It’s kind of a sad joke that these people are passing themselves off as physicians. I recognize the need for standard medicine sometimes. But the vast majority of my healthcare is natural medicine. I’ve gotten great care from other alternative practitioners, especially acupuncturists. But the naturopaths I saw were all clowns who I felt had heard little of what I had to say because they had their agenda from the moment I walked in the door. Almost universally, they came up with strange explanations for my (fortunately minor) disorder. Treatments ranged from elimination diets and vitamins to a recommendation for something called Landmak Education. They were all Bastyr/National types too-Not mail order naturopaths (though, they might be a better bet). I didn’t get the feeling that any were competant practitioners.
