You know, I agree that you can get a magazine or book and get information out of it for simple problems. However, when I have gone to my doctor with a bigger problem, he has done nothing for me. I read stuff in a magazine and took it to him with what I thought was wrong with me, and even though I still have the problem and for me it is a big, painful one, he found nothing wrong and did nothing. There is something wrong and something needs to be done, but my MD can’t help and in most cases is useless when my family goes to the doctor, so that doesn’t make him any better than an ND who would teach me the same thing that a book could. The NDs I have found around me only charge at most $90.00 for the first visit and this is in Canada. So NDs around you charge too much. I am sure that not all NDs overcharge.
