[Return to RoundTable]

Zeke is right, this board has gotten out of hand. Though I believe one should never mistake impassioned defense of what they believe in for zealousness (give me Ralph Nader over a conformist any day), anger has been obviously fueled on both sides of the debate. That said, I am tired of the negativity that I have been a part of in this debate, spured by feelings of obligation to defend a segment of healthcare that so many, including myself have benefited from. To anyone trying to decide whether or not to pursue naturopathic medicine I would say this: follow your bliss, decide what is right for YOU and how YOU may best serve others. Only when the voice inside is loud enough to be heard above those of others can a decision be made that respects the needs of the individual. That said, this will be my last post here. It is time for me to take my own advice and respect my own decision. Hopefully we here on this board will learn to respect the decisions of one another as well, whether it be the allopathic route, naturopathic, osteopathic, nursing, chiropractic, nutrition, counselor, etc. Hopefully we will give up the need to assign ?better or worse? to any of these and learn to respect the place each plays in the ultimate goal of healthcare: healing. I truely hope you all the best and wish all of you careers full of healing and caring no matter what routes you take.

Take care

P.S. to Bonnie, I apoligize for suggesting you may not be a strong reader.
