I’ve gained weight too, about 25 pounds. I’ve just gone off Effexor (it’s my fourth day off) and it’s not an easy task as I’m sure everyone knows now. I think it’s definately a good idea to wait until you get a break from teaching. That way you can just take your time and recover. And as I’m sure everyone else had told you, wean off the drug as much as you can, for as long as you can. Or so I’m told…
