I have been dealing with withdrawal for a very long time. It started with Paxil and I was admitted to the hospital many times trying to come off of it. Instead of trying to get me off of Paxil my “doctor”” (I’m sorry, none of them seem to know what the hell they’re talking about, probably because they don’t) I was put on Effexor xr. Now I’m addicted to Effexor and I can’t get off of it. I’ve become an alcoholic-I’ve researched it and there’s shown to be a link. I’m also fatter then I’ve ever been, which is making me depressed also. I’m only taking 75 mg and I refuse to raise the dosage. I know that I don’t need to be on it anymore, so I’ve been working with a compound pharmacist to taper one mg at a time. These medications are crap. There are alternatives and I don’t care if people say otherwise. I’ve been dealing with these drugs for almost 10 years and they’re making my life hell. I will end this by saying good luck to all, and if there is anyone out there as pissed off as me please e-mail me to start a petition/law suit. Although there has already been lawsuits against these big drug companies I want to go all the way and show these people just how much they disgust me.
