Hi there, I have a client who was on stimulant meds for adhd since she was 8yrs old. she is 21 now and stopped her adderol and in the last year and a half has gained 70-80lbs. the stimulant meds speed up your metabolism but then it sort of “shocks”” your body ,if you will, when suddenly you are no longer using it. my advice to you is to see a general practicioner for blood tests asap and be referred to a neurologist and a dietician. gaining 26lbs in in 1 1/2 weeks is dangerous for your body but the dietician can help you with a healthy diet and vitamins. if untreated this can lead to hyperthyroid issues which is dangerous. take care of you
