I have some suffering with uticaria since November. Each Dr told me it was an allergic reaction to “something”” and I would just have to figure it out. I also was put on predizone and am still on on it. However, I finally saw a young Dr Friday who is almost 100% sure she has diagnosed me. She thinks it has nothing to do with an allergic reaction. I don’t understand it fully yet but it has to do with agioedema which sounds like swelling of the heart but what it really is is the inability of your body to maintain a correct fluid level in your body. Several things can cause this….a problem with a kidney (which is what I have)….small blood vessels…C1/C2 enezyme inhibitor problems…or even a lack of a certain protein.
