I too have had severe eczema on my hands since I was about 23 years old. I’ve been to numerous doctors all over my state and never found any good advice or treatments for my situation. My fingers frequently become infected and the pain and itching is unbelievable. I found recently from “patch”” testing that I am allergic to epoxy, rubber (latex), and neomycin (anti-biotic). Eliminating these things has brought me little relief. The only thing that ever seems to have had any lasting effect was, oddly enough, Prozac. It got noticeably better, but after a couple of months the severe eczema came right back. I wish I could offer you some better advice but I’m still searching myself for anything that will help. Every dermatologist I have spoken with insisted that eczema was not related to food, yet you hear quite the opposite all over the internet. I may start eliminating certain foods to see if it helps.
